The aim of this study is to clarify the reality of the radiation pollution phenomenon in Dhi Qar province and to identify the main factors and causes that led to its spread and aggravation, and the calculation of the situational concentration and the actual area occupied by it as well as the cancerous diseases in order to develop effective solutions after the detection of the results and the consequences of the phenomenon of radioactive contamination And its environmental, economic, social and physiological effects on the population.

It was found that the irrigated area was 183.06 km2, or 73205 dunums, distributed over 29 geographical areas throughout the governorate.

(80,800 km 2), which constitutes 24800 dunums and 43.8% of the total area of radioactive areas.

Shatrah district has the lowest percentage of radiation pollution.
