The study aims to identify the academic problems of the students of Chlef University.

The study sample consisted of 212 students) male and female), selected randomly.

In other to achieve the objective of the study, a questionnaire, including (63) items divided into six dimensions, was distributed.

The results showed the existence of many academic problems related mainly to teachers, university environment, modules, student’s skills, academic orientation, and exams.

Besides, there was a significant statistical difference in the percentage of academic problems among first, second and Master 2 students.

There was a negative correlation between age and the variable degree of academic problems.

Furthermore, the study did not show any statistically significant difference related to sex and specialization.

The study suggested practical solutions in establishing academic orientation centers in universities.
