The banking environment is characterized by the diversification of the products and the suggested services, which have made the banking activity more complex and therefore, more vulnerable to various risks threatening it, especially the operational risks.

That’s why, the management of this latter becomes a necessity for banking and financial establishments.The Basel committee integrated the operational risk in the “Mc DONOUGH” solvency ratio in 2004, and its implementation was established in 2006.

But, in Algeria, this was only introduced in 2011 via the Regulation N° 11-08 which imposes the risk mapping, which was completed by the new regulation 14-01 in 2014.
