In the midst of the developments taking place, sustainable development has been emerged as a remade term for the overall development; which simply means facing essential dilemmas that hamper development in the world today; where the center of gravity in global politics turned on from just thinking about segmenting development to sectors and areas to consider in addressing the issues collectively and develop plans comprehensive development of all economic and social fields without damaging environmental factors; by moderation in the use of available resources to improve livelihoods and environmental conservation.

The subject of sustainable development becomes to occupy an important place in terms of global economies, and the importance of this topic stems from longer being a varied aspects and variable in conjunction with features that are underlying by stability and development .

Through this paper, we will try to shed light on defining the concept of sustainable development, its principles and objectives, showing it’s essential and diverse indicators, turned to the study of its multiple dimensions and extent interdependent and interrelated to achieve the goals of sustainable development and the consolidation of its landmarks, passing finally by the features of the UN plan for development beyond 2015 .
