The study aimed to identify the role of leadership in achieving the sustainable development of the Libyan Telecom Company.

Case study was performed to achieve the objectives of this study.

The researcher developed a questionnaire based on some previous studies, where their reliability and persistence factors were verified.

The study population was represented by the employees of the Libyan telecom company Derna, which has a staff of (42) workers, and the sample size was calculated based on the table of krejcie and Morgan (1970).

After the questionnaires were distributed, 33 forms were retrieved for statistical analysis.

The statistical analysis was performed using SPSS.

T test was performed; mean and standard deviations were calculated in order to analyze the study data.

According to this I conclude the following: The study revealed that there is a role for the leadership of the Libyan telecom company Derna branch in sustainable development, by testing the hypotheses of the study indicating that there is no role for leadership in the Libyan telecom company Derna branch in economic development.

The study concluded that there is a role for leadership in the Libyan telecom company Derna branch Social and environmental development.

The study showed through the results that there are statistical significance differences in the level of employee awareness of the leadership role in the Libyan telecom company Derna branch due to difference in the demographic variables (gender, age, academic qualification, career status, years of experience).

Finally, the study presented a set of recommendations that the followers hope to raise the level of leadership in the company under study
