Insurance intermediaries are considered as the most important indirect distribution channels of damages insurance companies, due to the effectiveness of their role in achieving temporal and spatial coverage and providing advice to the insured about the available insurance coverages provided at the different insurances companies.

This research aims to study the effectiveness of insurance intermediation activity in damages insurance companies and its impact on their market share.

The study was applied in damages insurance companies active in the Algerian market, and reached a number of results, the most important of which is that the indirect distribution channels, especially the Insurance intermediaries, contribute effectively to increase the production of insurance companies and maximize their market share
