Community participation is the third function of universities after academic and research work.

The colleges work on activating their social role through continuous interaction with the community partners.

However, this role is not complete unless all the aspects of the community process are combined.

The research problem is the weakness and shortness of students of economics and management colleges.

The importance of community participation in terms of importance, tools and strategies to play an effective role in achieving sustainable social and economic development.

The study aimed to measure students' awareness of their responsibilities towards social participation.

The study followed the descriptive and analytical descriptive method, and collected the data using a questionnaire to measure the awareness of university students represented in the students of the Faculty of Economics and Administration at Qassim University towards community participation, reaching about 220 questionnaires.

The study found that there are statistically significant differences on the concept of students to participate in the community and their awareness of the importance and methods and practices of activities necessary to activate community participation as one of the main roles played by universities and colleges.
