Under the heading "Mediation: A Point of Dispute”, the French sociologist Jean Davallon deals with the problematic concept of media in modem culture.
The importance of this essay lies in the context which Davallon has chosen to demonstrate the problematic concept and term of "mediation”.
He states that this term possessed different meanings and implications before it became connected to virtual reality.
This essay presents an analytical treatment of "mediation” in the media domain, and Davallon strives to establish numerous interpretational and multi- directional lines in order to approach the issue.
الملخص FRE
Le sociologue français Jean DAVALLON écrit un article intitulé « La médiation : la communication en procès ? «.
Il traite la problématique de la notion «Média» dans la culture contemporaine.
L'importance de cet article réside dans le contexte choisi par le chercheur pour faire ressortir la problématique conceptuelle et terminologique du ternie «médiation».
En effet, le chercheur montre que ce terme désignait des sens et des significations différentes de celles d’aujourd’hui après qu'il est associé au monde virtuel.
Cet article comporte un traitement analytique de la «médiation» au sein du champ médiatique, le chercheur propose des pistes interprétatives pour aborder la problématique.
