Marriage is a social system and a legitimate way to establish a relationship between a man and a woman in order to form a family and play family-related roles within society.

Late marriage is a reality in most contemporary societies, even those where early marriage is commonplace.

Out of the belief in the role of social work as one of the professions that interact with community and seek to contribute positively to solving its problems and overcoming obstacles, where caring for the family is one of the interests of social work, and through which seeks to integrate knowledge, skills and values, the researcher has launched this study to propose a social work program to cope with the pressures of life resulting from delayed marriage.

It is a descriptive study in which the researcher used both types of the social survey: 1.

The random sample method applied to female teachers in Riyadh; 2.

A comprehensive survey of faculty members at the College of Social Work, Princess Noura University, using a questionnaire to collect data.

The results have shown many social and psychological pressures suffered by women who delay getting married.

Both of these types of pressure were high and convergent.

The results showed that the highest social pressure came from the subject’s own family.

Psychological pressure, on the other hand, manifested in sensitivity in interacting with others, emotional instability and a sense of anxiety and tension.

The study proposed a program to exercise social work using a task-centered model to cope with pressure resulting from delayed marriage.
