Teaching methods in the context of educational reforms: from objective pedagogy to competence pedagogy Competency teaching is an approach to learning, rather than a program so that aims to give the learner the knowledge and competencies [Knowledge, Abilities and Skills] it is not an education to accumulate information and knowledge it is aimed at teaching preparing and qualifying the learner to engage in reality and arming with knowledge; that allows him to act effectively to different situations facing them to overcome or tamed in his favor, Therefore, the approach of competencies require effective active teaching methods that adopt the principle of participation and collective action ;And emphasizes the treatment of problems and finding appropriate solutions to them …etc.

Based on this vision; our attempt is aimed at revealing the reality of the application of the appropriate strategies and teaching methods which are commensurate with the approach of competencies and What are the reasons for adopting them in the Algerian school and why did the skills approach replace the objectives approach?
