The international community is suffering from the phenomenon of recruitment of child soldiers which is growing with the increasing of the armed conflicts because of its characteristics which pose a major threat to the lives of children, and thus forming a threat to international peace and security.

It is also significant to have emerged in these recent decades presenting a major challenge for several countries and international, regional, and non-governmental organizations which are concerned with human rights in general and child rights in particular.

The African Continent is considered one of the most important places which are exposed to this phenomenon of child recruitment which has spread dramatically and worried and alarmed the international community and human rights organizations.

This fact motivated the study and analysis of the reality of this phenomenon of recruitment of child soldiers in Africa by warning about its widespread and the reasons that led to its increase, the extent of the existence of a legal protection to reduce it, and the actual effectiveness of this protection on the ground.
