Smal and medium enterprises is one of the most important economic development investments, which enable it to achieve a comprehensive and effective national development boom that contributes to raising economic growth rates and helps to achieve economic development in various sectors.

It plays a vital role in attracting employment, supporting operational policies and reducing unemployment.

The study focuses on small and medium enterprises and their prominent place in both developed and developing economies.

This study examines the situation of small and medium enterprises in Algeria and the main challenges facing the development of these projects, as well as ways to promote them as a productive sector that contributes to employment opportunities .Algeria has embarked upon a number of initiatives to move towards this new investment pole and establish these institutions.
