The purpose of this research is to identify the achievements and the figures that Algeria has managed to achieve in recent years in trying to integrate into the knowledge economy, determine the different basic indicators of the new economy and to compare the results obtained by Algeria with global standards and the leading countries in this field, and analyzed the main obstacles encountered by Algeria in the framework of the transition from a traditional economy to a knowledge economy, and to propose a number of points, which help to reduce these barriers or overcome(exceed), in order to follow the global evolution of the one part, and the improvement in the rate of growth in outside the The oil and gas sector and to achieve a sustainable development on the other hand, this by the investment in knowledge as a standard of the difference between the progress and the under-development in the world
