It came shortly after the advent of the cinema of talking films due to the need to transfer American film production to all languages for the public to enjoy this new genre of art.

It is based on the translation of all the audiovisual discourse from the written and oral aspect, especially the audio recording, which is primarily the dialogue between actors of the original version, from the audiovisual production language to the target language.

It should be noted that there are several fundamental concepts that are closely related to dubbing, which cannot be neglected if we talk about this type of translation, the most important of which is the principle of synchronization which is based on choosing the appropriate words and phrases where dubbing matches the movement of the original actor's lips on the screen.
