This research paper examines a general assessment of economical and political indicators of governance in Algeria taking into consideration different reports and international indicators.

We have undertaken the descriptive and analytical method most of this study.From the side of economic governance, We tried to assess the managment of budget, macro-economic governance, business climate.While from a political governance, we tried to assess the situation from the angle of governance indicators at a national system of governance level.

At the end,we evaluated reforms during the last years and highlighted constrains and chances that faced the Algerian economy.

We deduced that there is an institutional weakness at the governance level, especially in macro-economic governance, business environment and anticorruption
