One of the best services offered to Islamic heritage in general, and historical queries in particular, is its/their review and revision.

The present study falls within that project.

The subject it addresses is the historical narratives transmitted throughout our heritage and the questions related to them: how to deal with them as novel sayings that are somehow strange to us? Do we deal with them as we deal with the texts of Sunnah? Or else, do we apply the method of Hadith criticism, or there are other considerations and different approaches? Another objective of this study is the purification of some aspects of our heritage and the examination of any false texts that got attached to it.

I identified nine conditions for the acceptance of historical narrative then addressed the position of hadith narrators from the texts of Sunnah and all other historical narratives.

I followed this with a statement on the famous weak Hadiths that show a certain deficiency in the Prophet, and I explained how to deal with them.
