The present study was conducted on 12-years old jujube trees "Ziziphus mauritiana Lam." , cv.

Tufahi which were grown in a private orchard situated at AL- Sedea District , Basrah Governorate during the growing season 2013 -2014.

The aim of the study will to investigate effects of spraying gibberellic acid at the concentrations of 25 mg/l , 50 mg/l and calcium chloride at the concentrations of 1% , 2% and their combinations on storage ability of jujube fruitds cv.Tufahi .

Fruits were packed in perforated corky boxes (1 kg weight for each of them) and stored at (5 °C) for five weeks.

Results showed that treatment with (2%) calcium chloride was the best in reducing the percentage of physiological disorders, the percentage of fungal decay , the percentage of loss in weight of fruits and retained the highest percentage of fruit water content with no significant differences with (1%) calcium chloride, 50 mg/l gibberellic acid and 25 mg/l gibberellic acid treatments..

Untreated fruits retained the highest percentage of totale soluble solids , total and reducing sugars with the lowest percentage of sucrose.

The highest percentage of loss in weight and totale soluble solids and the lowest percentage of water content were in untreated fruits after five weeks of storage.

The results also indicated to the increment of totale soluble solids , total and reducing sugars of fruits with the continuation of the storage periods.

Fruits treated with 50 mg/l gibberellic acid , (2%) calcium chloride had very good taste and very good appearance at the end of storage.
