The objective of the study is to determine the role of reinsurance operations in risk management of risks in the insurance industry, Due to the effective role played by these operations as a means of transferring risk and its importance in increasing the absorptive capacity of the insurance companies, and taking them part of the risks of these companies, thus allowing them to improve their financial situation by reducing the fluctuation in value Results and increase the margin of financial solvency.

In order to achieve this objective, the descriptive analytical approach was used to analyze the study data and test the hypotheses.

The result showed that the reinsurance operations are working to motivate insurance companies to increase their capacity due to the reinsurance provided by the reinsurance market, because the insurance companies are not always able to ensure coverage of the risks they face, and the respondents responses reinforced to the fact that reinsurance is considered one of the key strategies for Facing the risk of being exposed to Algerian insurers.
