Wegener’s disease or granulomatosis with polyangiitis is characterized by its ear, nose, throat and pulmonary clinical manifestations.
Our observation was original, since there is little written about this systemic disease, especially in the field of psychiatric disorders.
This is a 39 year-old patient followed for Wegener’s disease for 14 years.
Psychiatric symptomatology was made by a reference syndrome, delusions of persecution and mystical with behavioral quirks.
A cerebral vasculitis location has been removed after the normality of the brain MRI.
It was a simple comorbidity between Wegener and schizophreni.
The patient was put under Olanzapine seen the good tolerance and the clinical improvement.
Our observation shows that the association between systemic diseases and psychiatric disorders may be a simple comorbidity, but the therapeutic balance of one is essential to prevent relapse of the other.
الملخص FRE
La maladie de Wegener ou granulomatose avec polyangéite est caractérisée par ses manifestations cliniques ORL et pulmonaires.
Notre observation était originale, puisqu’il existe peu d’écrits sur cette maladie systémique, surtout dans ses aspects psychiatriques.
Il s'agit d’un patient âgé de 39 ans suivi pour la maladie de Wegener depuis 14 ans.
La symptomatologie psychiatrique a été faite d’un syndrome de référence, un délire de persécution et mystique et des bizarreries comportementales.
Une localisation cérébrale de sa vascularite a été éliminée par la normalité de l’IRM cérébrale.
C’était ainsi une simple comorbidité.
Le patient a été mis sous Olanzapine vu la bonne tolérance et l’amélioration clinique.
Notre observation illustre que l’association entre les maladies de système et les pathologies psychiatriques peut être une simple comorbidité, mais l’équilibre thérapeutique de l’une est indispensable pour éviter la rechute de l’autre
