Recent decades have witnessed a great scientific development in the study of human intelligence, which transcended the traditional view that has been confined only the cognitive perspective.

in addition, psychologists have revealed the importance of the emotional aspact due to its high impact.

the conviction is also based on the futility of looking at the duality of mind and sentiment.

psychologists have been convinced that traditional tests of intelligence do not give a complete picture of an individual’s behavior and cannot predict his success in both his future and life in general.

there have been many questions about the importance of linking between the cognitive and emoti-onal aspects.

this, in fact, drove scientists to research on different issues that neglected the human intelligence, which enables to explaine the discrepancies and contradictions observed in the subject of intelligence and abilities.

therefore, the focused their attention on the subject of emotional intelligence.

from this perspective, the present paper analyzes the subjust emotional intelligence and the course of development of researching in this phenomenon.
