The aim of the research is to explore the impact of the use of a knowledge-based program based on the development of critical thinking skills among a sample of KAUST students, knowledge of critical thinking levels and some meta-knowledge strategies used in teaching in the study sample, The research sample consisted of (64) students from the general diploma in education, and the measure of critical thinking: Watson, Glaser (Almobdel,2010), Results to the absence of differences (Experimental and control) in the tribal application, and there were statistically significant differences between the tribal and post-experimental applications of the experimental group for the benefit of the post-measurement, and the existence of statistically significant differences between the experimental and control groups in the post-application for the benefit of the group And the absence of statistically significant differences between the two post-application and follow-up applications of the experimental group.

The study concluded with recommendations including meta-knowledge strategies, which are subject to training through the proposed lessons in the preparation, The use of strategies and skills at various stages, interaction and role-playing, and the introduction of some of the puzzles and ideas and collective participation and interaction among students.
