Since translation is closely related to the theory of reading, the translator is in the first place a reader, and it is also related to the interpretation, for every act of translation is based on the interpretation.

this paper starts from this description, to prove that receiving has inevitably a heavy presence along the translation process, and seeks to clarify the elements of the hypothesis through questioning and analyzing the lexical definitions, in a way that leads to trace the presence of the notion of “reception” amongst those definitions, to result in a statement that every definition mentions implicitly or explicitly the act of “reception” as one organic component of translation process organic , and that the definition of translation does not stand in isolation from the act of reception, thus, translation and reception are two inseparable, interlaced and crossed acts.
