The purposes of this study were to investigate the relationship between Internet Addiction and depression among Nizwa University Students، using a sample of (304) female & male، were distributed randomly.

the researcher used internet addiction scale (alkhawaja، 2014) and beck depression inventory (bdi) after its validity & reliability.

to answer the questions of the study، the following statistic measurements were used: means، standard deviations، person’s relational coefficients and linear regression analysis.

the results of the study indicated that : - there is a positively correlation between internet addiction and depression.

-according to linear regression analysis results، depression was predicted positively by internet addiction.

the findings of this study indicated that there were some recommendations according to the study results، which may develop students coping style with depression، and to decrease internet addiction.
