Internet network managed by the multiplicity and diversity of services provided to affect the various political, economic, cultural and social areas, the media, including and especially, since become one of the most important sources of news and information relied on by journalists in the media coverage of the various events and issues taking place in the community, especially with the new media appearance and its integration with traditional media, which contributed to the activation of the media work, and make it be reckoned with in different areas of life force.

accordingly, this paper is trying to shed light on the impact of the development tools and services of communication in the internet to improve media coverage, and how to take advantage of online services in the media coverage through a realistic example of the use of social networks as a source of media coverage of the events of the arab spring, the most important stakes and handicaps associated with using the internet as a source of reliable media coverage of events and issues.
