The reliance of the largest Arab economies on oil revenues to fund their development programs and achieve their economic stability made them vulnerable, every time the collapse of oil prices take place in international markets, to external shocks affecting primarily the overall financial balances, represented in the rate of gross domestic product, the status of the general budget, the current account, official reserves and external public debt.

this shows the weaknesses as well as the fragility of the economies of Arab countries relying, in the first place, on the proceeds of oil.

we will try through our research to shed light on the subject of sensitivity of fiscal balances in oil-producing Arab states to oil prices fall, which has become the main concern of the decision makers in the Arab countries at the present time.

this requires a search for radical solutions to get out of the circle of unilateral economic rent sector to a diverse economy.
