The conversion of foreign capital is the most important guarantees which is given to foreign investors , because effective protection would not be achieved and fulfilled if a foreign investor was unable to convert his employed money in the territory of the host countries.

This type of money includes all the money invested, including money used for preserving or increasing the authentic investment .

It also includes the resulting income from the total or partial sale, total or partial liquidation of the investment, financial resources to renew capital assets so as to maintain the continuity of investment and additional financial resources to develop investment.

In spite of the possibilities offered by the national legislation of the states to impose restrictions on capital conversion, whenever the financial and economic situation requires that, the majority of international conventions to invest do not fit not these requirements, since almost all conventions handle the conversion or re-export of capital explicitly and directly
