The researchers did not care about the phenomena of envy in the Arabic poetry and did not pay any attention as they did with the rest of the other phenomena which were common among the poets.

Ancient poets and the poets of the modern age recorded them in their poems.

One of the main reasons that led me to study this phenomenon is the lack of research on this subject - I can say that it does not exist- there are those who say that there are famous poetry verses about envy and I say that this research is interested in the phenomenon of envy in itself and not only in the verses about envy.

I saw this clearly when I came back to the old sources and poetic pediment, and chose in this research to study only one model of modern poets, who is the poet «Abdul Rahman Shukri» s.

In order to give that phenomenon its importance of study and research this is in addition to clarifying the psychological situation that made the poet to talk about this phenomenon and its details as he described the state of envy The poet has written many poems that discussed the phenomenon of envy as there are varied topics between the envy of love and meeting which made the haters envy the poet.

In addition to the envy of money, Readiness, Position, intelligence and acumen, it made the haters envy the poet, and the poet took envy of relatives we will explain this in detail by researching this research.

In the second chapter we will show the poet's point of view which was divided into two parts First: optimistic look and the other is a pessimistic view, Finally, the third chapter clarifies the agreement between the poet «Abdul Rahman Shukri» with the ancients and modernists on the phenomenon of envy and corruption in addition to the difference with them also, as will appear in this research
