the instruments of the Islamic funding witness widespread and prosperity during the recent years not only in the Arabic and Islamic countries but non-Muslim countries also.

Islamic Sukuk is considered one of the most prominent tools of Islamic funding as they attract savings and collecting money for using them in financing the economical projects and activities that serve the national economies.

this financial tool gives special chances for funding the private and public projects, and it encourages the popular participation for supporting the needs and requirements of the economical development, therefore this research tries to study the role that Islamic Sukuk plays in providing the necessary funding for governments and companies and its contribution in funding and achieving the economical development.

the study tries to answer the following dilemma: what is the role of Islamic Sukuk in funding the economical development, and also what is the importance of Sukuk in funding development projects in Egypt and Malaysia.

the research revealed some results such as Islamic Sukuk plays an important role in funding the economical development through the funding of infrastructure and developmental projects, small and intermediate projects.

also it can be used in funding public budget deficit instead of the traditional public loan tools and other usages.
