The study of the characteristics of the frequency distribution of thunderstorms and associated rainfall characteristics in northern Saudi Arabia.

The research aims to study the frequency distribution of the total thunderstorms in the north of the Kingdom (Tarif-Arar-Qurayyat) during the period 1978-2014.

The frequency analysis of thunderstorms was based on the daily climate data of twelve types of thunderstorms (13, 17, 29, and 30).

The results showed the control of storm storms of class (95) with a total of 128 storms at Tarif station, 103 storms at Al-Qurayat station and 177 storms at Arar station with significant variations in the spatial distribution of thunderstorms from one year to the same station and even from one station to another during the same year as indicated by the results Comparison of Stations.
