الملخص EN

This study aims at identification of the impact of age and study period of students of the above Religious School (Khalwa) on the calligraphy of those students.

The study likewise targets description of the writing styles and calligraphy of the students of religious schools in general.

The study has adopted the empirical method as its main approach that has been followed in the application of practical experiments in Arabic calligraphy by the samples subject of the study after organizing their overlapping variations.

The study has further adopted the descriptive approach as an assistant approach for description and analysis of the samples of the models subject of the study that amounted to four samples.

These models have been selected via the purpose approach.

The models have been described by following the method of naked observation.

The findings of the study indicated that the age of the students of the religious school and their term of study in that school have no impact on their mastery of Arabic calligraphy.

The study further concluded that the general handwriting method in the samples under study has not abided by a specific writing methodology or criteria in respect of quality or unification of the thickness of the pen line.

The study noted that writing errors were similar in the models subject of the study.
