The objective of this study is to provide a descriptive study of environmentally smart cities and their contribution to the conservation of natural resources for future generations through the exploitation of information technology and the construction of smart infrastructure that contributes to reducing emissions, improving air quality, eliminating solid wastes and preserving scarce resources such as water.

Several countries in the world have adopted the application of environmental intelligence in model cities by applying smart energy, smart management of water and waste .

These cities have achieved results in terms of energy consumption, increasing dependence on renewable energy sources and recycling of waste at varying rates, As well as the rational exploitation of water, all of which contribute to sustainable development.
