The objective of this paper is to understand the critical relationship between sustainable security and sustainable development.

The sustainable development paradigm calls for the management and protection of natural resources and human resources to achieve the needs of the present and future generations without depleting the natural resources.

Sustainable security from the perspective of sustainable development approach is a social responsibility which requires the engagement and participation of governments and non-government agencies to achieve the goals of sustainable development.

The paper attempt to answer the question: How sustainable development can contribute to sustainable security.

By answering this question would allow us to examine the relationship between community development and security and how to achieve sustainable security.
