الملخص الإنجليزي

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) has become one of the most common behavioral disorders worldwide.

Its symptoms may appear at preschool age and can be more noticeable at school age.

These symptoms usually evolve positively or negatively, as the person gets older.

Such symptoms include short-term memory, behavioral problems, hyperactivity and impulsivity.

In fact, students with ADHD face challenges in terms of cognition and behavioral skills, which may lead to difficulties in their learning activities.

Moreover, studies have shown that ADHD can have a negative impact on the child’s social life.

The current diagnostic methods are divided into two types, either by having the specialist keep tracking the child’s eyes using a rope or ruler, or by using technologies that track the nerve system.

Usually the first method is difficult to be accepted by the children, and the specialist needs to spend a lot of time until he can carry out the test.

Where the second method requires some devices to be connected to children’s body, which faces a lot of resistance from the children.

As a result, the first method is the easiest and trusted one.

Therefore, most researchers started to develop computerized tools to help children remember numbers, characters or cards location; which helps to enhance the children’s memory but do nothing with diagnosing purposes, while others developed applications with diagnostic tools to track children’s iris.

These tools require the children to wear glasses or helmet, which makes them odd.

In this thesis, we propose a new computerized method, which overcomes the drawbacks of the existing modules.

The proposed method does not require the child to wear any additional equipment.

The system is consisting of two applications, one for diagnose purpose and the other is for training, both interfaces are attractive which makes it easier to both the child and the trainer to use it, and help to build confidence between them.

In the first application, a child just need to follow the trainer verbal instruction to guide him where to look on image, so application can follow the child’s iris movement and record how much time he spent looking on the target.

Where in the second application a child should look into a screen with images that change in terms of location and shapes at a specific period, and the end the application will estimate how much the child focused on the displayed images.

The results show that the application enhances the diagnosis accuracy, and improves the child concentration.

The feedback from the parents and the institutions was very encouraging.

HCI is becoming one of the most important research areas; since HCI application, not only a computer based application, but it also can be implemented on other devices such as smartphones, tablets and laptops.

Furthermore, it might be combined mentioned devices with the Internet of Things (IoT), it also exceeded that by interacting with other peripherals such as cameras, medical monitoring devices and other elements that focused on the user experience.

Eye tracking can help in many life’s areas, such as evaluating people interacting with website, applications or generally any type of interfaces, by capturing their visual many things can be enhanced to achieve the goals of that applications and clear the obstacles to complete targeted tasks, it also can leverage mobile trackers to see how the users are interacting with devices’ features.

From programs and user interfaces prospective, eye trackers can be a suitable way to collect solid data.

In ATICCS under a normal screen the user is captured on a laptop interface via Tobii gaming camera, and the collected metrics is used to identify points that the user is focusing on.
