This study aims at examining the resilience strategies implemented by classified hotels in Jordan during the time of crisis.

It also aims at examining the drivers in these strategies and how they influence the hotel and tourism sector.

Resilience strategists of the classified hotels were interviews in Amman, the Dead Sea, Petra, and Aqaba.

Response was received from 183 persons out of 223, which is the total number of classified hotels in the mentioned locations The study concludes that different strategies were implemented; marketing strategy, competitive strategies and alliance strategy.

The study concludes that the resilience strategies were unsuccessful and that the hotel reservations continued to decline in 86% of the hotels.

The study recommends a number of immediate measures such as activities and festivals in Petra as well as the diversification of touristic offers on the beaches of the Dead Sea and Aqaba.

Furthermore, coordination with Egypt is recommended in order to benefit from tourism in Taba and Sharm Al-Shaikh, and to include Aqaba to Egyptian touristic programs.

In addition, the study recommends redirecting touristic media to focus on the independence of Jordan as a secure unit untouched by the turmoil in the neighboring countries.
