This research aims at investigating aesthetic values of using metals in Sudanese modern sculpture. also aims to possibility of using the techniques of making metal, installation, and joins (welding) and how can using their properties to make good sensory effect on the metallic modern sculpture artwork. the research followed the analytical descriptive approach to describe and analyze research samples, which represented in five local samples found in Khartoum, for Sudanese artists, also other five international samples for comparison. the research finding out that: the metals have aesthetic and artistic values and special symbolic signs in the modern sculpture artwork, also the new techniques of using metals are considered the most important secretions of the technology age. recommendations call for studying the modern African sculpture in general and Sudanese sculpture in particular
