Candida is saprophyte yeast in the human digestive system by 40-80% in the mouth, intestines and vagina.

It contains 196 species, and only 13 of them cause infections in humans, and most commonly are Candida Albicans.

The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of Candida Albicans which isolated from the patientsspecimens at Almouasat and Children Hospitals taken during the period between the fifth month of 2012 and the third month of 2013 and study their sensitivity to antifungal drugs, because of Candida Albicans are common pathogens and cause a lot of clinical manifestations, especially in patients with immunodeficiency and hospitalization patients.

The study was conducted on 150 different sample staken from 100 patients of clinically doubted patients with Candidiasis.

It is possible to take two different samples from the same patient.

These samples were taken from the patients of (Thoracic, Hematology, and Infectious Diseases)Units at Almouasat Hospital, and from (Infectious Diseases, Premature and Newborn, and General Diseases) Units of Children's Hospital.

The samples were urine, feces, sputum, bronchial secretions, pus and pharyngial swabs as following 76-31-21-15-5-2 respectively.

The samples were then examined bymicroscope and thenculture into the fungal media (Sabouraud Chloramphenicol, Sabouraud Chloramphenicol-Actedion), then the Germ tube test was performed.

The sensitivity test was made to show effectiveness of antifungal drugs.

We analyzed the results using descriptive analytical method SPSS to find the relationship between variables.
