الملخص الإنجليزي

This study sheds light on the goddess Anahita, the goddess of ancient Iranian water and fertility according to the texts of the book Avesta, and we referred to its name and the origin of its worship, and we explained the total meaning of its name in its different formations and its significance and the differences motifs.

We also addressed the description of its worship origin on the basis of the book of Avesta.

In addition, we reinforced this section by adding texts of this book.

Moreover, we analyzed what mythical texts mean.

This research presents varied functions, namely : fertile, sex, lady of all water, its military duties, and the significance of these functions.

This study concerned on explaining the statement of the rituals of worship in the light of the Avesti texts, and the sacrifices which were offered to them.
