This paper discusses social networking sites and their impact on the Sudanese universities students in the period 2015-2018.

the importance of this paper is that it highlights the use of the sites of Whatsapp and Facebook and the changes experienced by the societies in light of the growth of the websites and the real challenges that they created.

it aims to introduce contemporary issues and problems and how to address these issues in the light of the theories and principles adopted by each system or state through the media available internally and externally, and by the legitimate methods of each system and each country.

the aim of this paper is to identify the new communication, its wide horizons, its various forms, its pros and cons, its social networking programs, what's app and Facebook, and their impact on the student community.

the researcher used the descriptive analytical method and the research tools were the questionnaire and the observation.

the researcher used to select the intentional method.

the paper came out with a number of results, the most important of which are: social sites have contributed to increasing religious extremism among students and convincing them of radical ideas.

social networking sites allow you to communicate with each other without restriction.

the paper recommends that students be immunized with islamic curricula in university curricula and cultural activities so that they have the argument and logic if they are exposed to religious extremists in social networking sites, to keep away from communicating with religiously and ideologically extremist groups, to partner with university-related institutions to educate students, families should instill values and virtues in their children so as not to be exposed to values with a compressive effect in order to reshape them accordingly.
