The study aimed to highlight esthetic and expressive values contained in colored paintings exists on surfaces of ceramics and murals.

also it aimed to discuss the dyes and pigments used be Nubian artists, and its expressive values.

the significant of this study stemmed from the fact that, painting and coloring is one of the cultural and innovation sources.

the purpose is to uncover the effective factors in Sudanese culture.

the researcher adopted the descriptive analytical method, depending observation and concluding in describing samples of works chosen intentionally for the purpose of the study.

the study resulted in that, Nubian uses colors, dyes and pigments extracted from local natural materials.

despite the fact that, Egyptian style dominated the artistry works, Nubian artist reserve his own styles sustaining the local features for Nubian art as a distinguished and separate culture.

the study recommended the necessity of taking care of cultural monuments in the Sudan, and introduce educational program or syllabus for students to know about the cultural highlights, and monuments and touristic landmarks.
