The current research explores the attitude of the old Arab critics from the repetition as a stylistic phenomenon in Arabic poetry, and as a creative stylistic characteristic makes the artistic product artistic.

Old Arab critics payed enough attention for repetition in the both forms of Prose and Poetry, yet, poetry was given much more weight for its importance and impact on the perceiver.

Repetition present itself on many different forms, from repeating letters, words, and syllables, and there is also the metaphorical form of repetition.

Khansa’s poetry was chosen as a model for the phenomenon of repetition for it was a main characteristic of her poetry.

The reason behind her tendency to use repetition might be her sorrow and pain of losing her both brothers whom were symbols of generosity, leadership, and inspiration to their tribe.
