Expression is considered as the end result of each language activity.

In this activity the learner invests his background language in order to activate this ability that allow him to use the language in different discursive positions during his oral conversation and in writing though wich he expressed his thoughts by taking into account the different social situations.

Therefore arises the need to develop the teaching of the Arabic language in Algeria through the adoption of the communicative approach, in which it is focused in its study of the language and its use in different discursive situations.

This research aims to demonstrate the impact of the application of the communicative approach in developing the skills of the learner in oral and written expression through writing and speaking activities contained in the fifth year primary school text book.
