The study aimed to indicate faculty members and students’ perspectives at the University of Zakho concerning Bologna educational system according to the two variables: gender and college.

The sample of study consisted of 43 faculty members and 945 students of both genders of the first stage from Colleges of Education, Administration and Economics, Faculty of Humanities, Basic Education, and Engineering in the academic year 2017-2018.

To conduct the present study, a questionnaire of 15 items (followed by two alternatives: YES, NO) distributed over 3 main fields: the application of Bologna system, Bologna system guidelines, and activities and the examination instructions.

The questionnaire also contained suggestions for improving the system.

After responding the questionnaire and collecting data, the data were analyzed statistically according to the percentages and Chi-Square.

The study arrived at: 1.

Faculty members of both humanities and scientific varied in their views concerning Bologna system, and as follows: 56.1% of faculty members from scientific colleges accepted the system, whereas 66.7% of faculty members from humanities colleges accepted the system.

There is no statistically significant difference between faculty members’ views of Bologna system at the level of significance 0.05.

60.27% of students at both scientific and humanities colleges accepted the system, and there is no statistically significant difference between them.

47.31% of scientific students accepted the system, whereas 66.31 of Humanities students accepted the system.

In the light of the present study, the results showed that there is a possibility of adopting the Bologna system after making some modifications to the system to fit the context of the universities in Kurdistan region of Iraq.
