The current study sought to identify the level of burn out and its relation to performance among the civil protection agents in the city of Tiaret.

To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive method was used.

The researchers applied the maslash scale for psychological burn out and designed the job performance questionnaire on a sample of (100), the civil protection agents in the city of Tiaret, In a simple random way.

After the statistical treatment, the results in a lack of statistical correlation between burn out and functional performance.

This result is due to the officials who managed the competencies well by activating the positive communication, which made the quality of professional life for the civil protection agents in the city of Tiaret healthy and contributed to the promotion of their job performance, based on these results, the researchers submit a set of recommendations to concerned persons , the important proposals of this study is assured regular and constant care by specialists (doctors, sociologists psychologists, physical trainers, nutritionists...) civil protection agents of the city of tiaret.

And modeling the quality of life of the civil protection agents of the city of Tiaret at the local level of the state and at the national level, making it a preventive and therapeutic experience at the same time, as this organization serves the public good.

And physical and moral support for the agent of civil protection, because the satisfaction of the individual for his profession is the first stages of professional achievement, and thus avoid burning.

And Raise the status and role of civil protection staff through academic attention to psychological health، and Conduct more studies in the field of mental health (stress- burn out - alienation - depression...) in the professional sector, especially in the sector of civil protection.
