الهدف من هذه الدراسة هو تقييم مستوى الوعي و المعرفة للنشرة الدوائية في الأردن.

علاوة على ذلك، كان تقييم النسبة المئوية لقراء النشرة الدوائية، و تقديم اقتراح للتغيير، و تحسين محتويات النشرة الدوائية و بالتالي تعزيز طواعية المرضى هي الاهداف الإضافية.

تم تعبئة استبيان مقطعي للمشاركين في 13 مدينة رئيسية في الأردن.

العدد الكلي للمشاركين في الدراسة هو 914 مشاركا حيث تم جمع معلومات عن خصائص المشاركين ( البيانات الديموغرافية، و مستوى معرفة القراءة و الوضع الصحي).

و استخدمت إحصاءات وصفية لفحص الارتباط بين خصائص المرضى و ممارستهم و سلوكهم، و معرفتهم للنشرة الدوائية.

بعد مسح ما مجموعه 914 مشاركا كشفت النتائج أن عدد و نسبة بلغت 585 ( 64.0% ) و 114 ( 12.5 ) و (23.5) عند السؤال عن قراءة النشرة الدوائية أجابوا بـ"نعم" أو "لا" أو أحيانا" على التوالي.

يتمتع الأشخاص بممارسة و سلوك و معرفة جيدة للنشرة الدوائية في الأردن.

أفاد حوالي 91.8% بأن النشرة الدوائية مفيدة و %63.6 أكدوا أنها واضحة و لكن 48.1% فقط قالوا إنها كافية ذكر ما يقرب من ثلثي المشاركين الذين شملهم الاستطلاع أنهم يقرؤون النشرة الدوائية.

خصائص المريض لها تأثير على أهمية قراءة النشرة الدوائية.

الإناث، كبار السن، المتعلمين، ذوي الدخل المرتفع، و المرضى الذين يعانون من أمراض مزمنة و الحساسية، و حاملي التأمين الصحي؛ كل هؤلاء لديهم اهتمام أكثر لقراءة النشرة الدوائية بشكل عام، أظهر المشاركون مستوى جيدا من الوعي و المعرفة لمحتوى النشرة الدوائية من المهم أن تؤخذ هذه النتائج في عين الاعتبار في البحوث المستقبلية، و تطوير النشرة الدوائية لتحسين استخدام الدواء في الممارسة اليومية.

الملخص الإنجليزي

Assessment the level of awareness and knowledge for Patient information leaflet (PILs) in Jordan was the main target of this study.

Moreover, Assessment of the percentage of PIL's readers, making suggestion to change, improve PIL contents and therefore enhance patients' compliances was among other objectives.

A cross-sectional questionnaire was administered to participants throughout 13 main cities of Jordan.

In total, 914 participants were enrolled in the survey.

Information on participants' characteristics (demographic data, health literacy level) was also collected.

Descriptive statistics were used to examine associations between patient characteristics and their practice, attitude, and knowledge for the PIL.

A total of 914 participants were surveyed.

Results revealed that for frequencies and percentages were 585 (64.0%), 114 (12.5%), and 215 (23.5%) reported reading the PIL with "yes", "no", or "sometimes" respectively.

People in Jordan have a good practice, attitude, and knowledge for the PIL.

Around 91.8% reported the PIL is useful and 63.6% reported that is clear but only 48.1% reported the PIL is sufficient.

Approximately two-thirds of the surveyed participants stated that they read the PILs.

Patient characteristics were found to influence the importance of reading the patient information leaflet.

Females, elderly, educated, high income, urban, allergic, chronic disease patients, insurance holders; all of those had higher tendency to read of PIL.

Overall, participants showed a good level of awareness and knowledge for the patient information leaflets content.

These findings should be taken into consideration in future research, development of PIL to improve medication use in everyday practice.
