This article addresses the promotion of global environmental security as one of the priorities of Brazilian foreign policy in the post-Cold War, which is characterized by its diplomacy and earnest efforts to be heard in the forums of the United, and active participation in international debates, and the defense of global environmental issues as a phenomenon of global warming, pollution, depletion of resources the environment.

Then the article comes on the study of determinants of internal and external agenda of behavior that ensured the outside of Brazil to the cause of preservation of the environment in order to be free from threats carpentry for this area because it depends upon all humanitarian activities.

Finally, the article discusses the interest of Brazil to activate its diplomacy to promote global environmental security through the process of institutionalization of the security risks facing national environmental lessons, and strengthen its role internationally.
