The problem of protecting the environment from pollution is the responsibility of all stakeholders.

However, the institution is the most threatening party, putting pressure on the natural environment and its various resources.

For this purpose, the following problematic is posed: What is the extent to which Algerian industrial SMEs are committed to environmental responsibility? The aim of this research is to define environmental responsibility and its various aspects, and to draw the environmental behavioral pattern characteristic of the Algerian SME.

The descriptive approach was used to describe the research elements.

On the applied side, we used statistical method.

The data were analyzed with statistical program SPAD.

Data collection was conducted through the questionnaire distributed to 240 organizations.

The results of the study showed that size is not the only influence in the commitment of SME, but the sub-sector of the activity also affects.

The age of the organization has no effect, and the behavior pattern of Algerian SME is "Environmentally Committed" by 11% and "Environmentally Defensive" behavior by 89%.

Finally, we recommend establishing a culture of commitment to the principles of environmental responsibility of the companies.
