The study aims to identify the extent of the Palestinian young people's dependence on the mobile phone journalism as a source of news at times of crises، and the causes، motives and the cognitive، emotional and behavioral impacts of Palestinian young people’s dependence on the different new types of this journalism.

The study adopted descriptive approach using the survey method which employed the surveying of the population of information media.

The data collection tools were the personal interview، and a survey card which was electronically distributed to a simple random sample of (383) of the Palestinian young people in all governorates of the country during the period from 15/06/2016 to 02/07/2016.

The study revealed different findings، the most important of which are as follows: 1.

Respondents depend on the mobile phone journalism by (77.8%) at times of crises، while (72.2%) of them trust the news received via mobile phone journalism at times of crises.

The social networking applications were ranked first of all types of the mobile phone journalism that the Palestinian young people relied on to follow up events of the Jerusalem Intifada with a percentage of (88.2)، followed by mobile browsers، then the news applications، and finally the audio and video applications.

Al-Aqsa Channel mobile application was ranked first of all types of the mobile phone journalism that the Palestinian young people relied on to follow up events of the Jerusalem Intifada.

On the other hand، Facebook application was ranked first in social media applications، YouTube was ranked first in audio and video applications، and finally Google mail (gmail) was ranked first in email applications.
