In this paper, it has been studied the magnetic properties, namely, the magnetization dependence of the transition temperatures and compensation points for a mixed spin-2 and spin-7/2 Blume-Capel-Ising ferrimagnetic system, respectively.

The mixed spin Blume-Capel-Ising model has been solved by using the mean-field approximation (MFA).

Besides, it has been evaluated the free energy of the considered system basis on the Bogoliubov inequality.The results which have been obtained, are encouraged ones so by increasing the magnetic anisotropies of the sublattice B at fixed values of anisotropies of sublattice A, the transition temperature increases.

In presence of an external magnetic field, in the range 0.1 0.2 H    for different values of magnetic anisotropies    , one can see the compensation points are induced at negative values of magnetic fields when different values of sublattice anisotropies B are applied
