The current study aimed to prepare a training program and verify its effectiveness in improving the social competence in children with cochlear implants in middle childhood.

the study sample consisted of (10) children with cochlear implants aged 6-9 years and divided into two homogeneous experimental and control groups five children each.

the study based on the experimental approach.

the researcher used social competence scale for children with cochlear implants, besides the training program for improving social competence, for half and four months in 35 sessions.

it used man-Whitney (u), Wilcoxon (w), tests and (z) values to verify its results.

the study results revealed the effectiveness of the training program in improving the social competence in the children with cochlear implants.

there were significant statistically differences between the mean scores of the experimental group in pre(38.20)and post(85.20) assessment in social competence in favoring the post assessment.

there were significant statistically differences between the mean scores of the experimental (85.20)and control groups in social competence favoring the experimental group, and there were no significant statistically differences between the experimental group in the post-and follow-up assessment.

the study also revealed that there are no significant differences between the control group in the pre and post assessment.
