الملخص EN

The objective of this work is to study, on the one hand, the relationship between financial openness, economic growth and financial crises and, in the other hand, to examine empirically the effects of banking and financial system openness on Algerian economic growth.

Using 40 observations and estimating by cointegration time series method, during the period 1970-2009, the estimation results show that financial openness promotes the development of banking and financial system, thus it has a positive effect on the economic growth in Algeria.

الملخص FRE

L’objectif de ce travail consiste, d’une part, à étudier la relation théorique existant entre l’ouverture financière, la croissance économique et les crises financières, et d’autre part, à essayer d’examiner empiriquement l'impact de l’ouverture du système bancaire et financier sur la croissance économique en Algérie.

En utilisant l’estimation d’un échantillon de 40 observations par la méthode de cointégration des séries temporelles durant la période 1970-2009, les résultats obtenus de l’estimation, suggèrent que l’ouverture du système bancaire et financier exerce un effet favorable sur la croissance économique algérienne.
